Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you want to know about working with a travel agent — answered plainly, without the sales pitch.
What does it mean to work with a travel agent?
I handle every detail of your trip from start to finish — researching destinations and options, making reservations, coordinating transfers and excursions, and staying available before and during your trip if anything comes up. You get personalized service and a dedicated advocate, instead of navigating booking sites on your own.
What happens after I submit a quote request?
I'll be in touch shortly to learn more about your trip — destination ideas, travel dates, budget, and who's coming. From there I research options, prepare a personalized proposal, and walk you through everything before any money changes hands. Submit a request here to get started.
What destinations do you specialize in?
I specialize in cruises, all-inclusive Caribbean and Mexico resorts, Disney World and Universal Orlando, luxury travel, Greece and the Greek Isles, and guided tours. If you have a different destination in mind, ask — I can often help or point you in the right direction. Learn more on my travel agent page.
Can you help with large group bookings?
Yes. Group travel is one of my strengths — family reunions, multi-family trips, girlfriend getaways, and destination weddings. I coordinate cabin or room blocks, group rates, and special perks that individual bookings can't access. The larger the group, the more value a dedicated agent adds.
Do you offer payment plans?
Most travel suppliers offer deposit-based booking with the balance due closer to departure, so you typically don't need to pay everything upfront. The exact deposit amounts and payment schedules depend on the supplier, destination, and time of booking. I'll walk you through the payment timeline before you commit to anything.
What if I need to cancel or change my trip?
Cancellation and change policies vary by supplier, travel dates, and the type of booking — they are not set by me. I'll explain the policy for your specific trip before you book, and I strongly recommend travel insurance to protect your investment. If something comes up after booking, I advocate on your behalf with the supplier.
How far in advance should I start planning?
The earlier the better, especially for cruises, Disney, popular all-inclusive resorts, and travel during school breaks or holidays. Six to twelve months out is ideal for those peak periods. That said, last-minute deals do exist — reach out no matter where you are in the planning process and I'll find the best available options.
What's included in your planning service?
My service covers the full trip — destination research and recommendations, flights, accommodations, transfers, excursions, travel insurance options, and pre-departure logistics. I stay available throughout your trip if anything comes up. Whether you're booking a cruise, an all-inclusive resort, or a guided tour, I handle the details so you can focus on enjoying the trip.
Do you book flights too?
Yes. I can book flights as part of a complete vacation package. For some itineraries — particularly cruises and all-inclusive packages — bundling flights through the supplier can offer additional protections and price advantages. I'll compare the options and recommend what makes the most sense for your trip.
Are you a certified travel agent?
Yes. I am CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association) and IATA certified, and I am affiliated with World Via, a member of the Travel Leaders Network — one of the largest travel agency networks in North America. My certifications and supplier relationships mean you're working with a credentialed professional, not a booking website. Visit my cruise planning page to see how that experience applies to your next vacation.
