Disney World Just Dropped Discounted After 2 PM Tickets for Summer 2026
Walt Disney World is offering specially priced 2-day and 3-day afternoon tickets valid from May 26 through July 29, with rates starting as low as $116 per day.
If you’ve been eyeing a summer trip to Walt Disney World but flinching at the price tag, Disney just gave your wallet a reason to relax. The resort announced a brand-new After 2 PM ticket option for summer 2026, and it’s one of the most interesting value plays we’ve seen from Disney in a while.
What’s the Deal?
Starting now, guests can purchase specially priced 2-day or 3-day park tickets that grant admission to one theme park per day — but only after 2:00 PM. No park reservations are required, which is a welcome simplification for anyone who’s navigated Disney’s booking system before.
The 2-day ticket must be used within 4 days of your selected start date, while the 3-day ticket gives you a 5-day window. That built-in flexibility means you can mix park days with pool days, resort exploration, or trips to Disney Springs without feeling like you’re wasting a ticket.
What Does It Cost?
Prices vary by date, and there are some genuinely good values buried in the calendar:
- Late May: $125–$132 per day
- June: Most dates range from $124–$131 per day
- Fourth of July weekend: Expect to pay around $154 per day
- Late July: The sweet spot — rates drop to as low as $116 per day for start dates around July 26–27
For context, a standard single-day ticket during summer can run well over $160, so the per-day savings here are meaningful, especially for multi-day visits.
Who Is This For?
This ticket is tailor-made for a few types of travelers:
- Families with young kids who’d rather spend the morning at the resort pool and hit the parks when everyone’s had a nap
- Budget-conscious visitors who want to experience the magic without paying full-day prices
- Evening park lovers who know that the best Disney moments — fireworks, nighttime shows, cooler temperatures — happen after dark anyway
- Repeat visitors who don’t need rope drop to have a great time
A Few Things to Know
There are some important caveats. Any Lightning Lane selections, theme park dining reservations, or other bookings made before 2 PM won’t be valid with this ticket. So if you’re planning a sit-down lunch inside the park or want to ride a popular attraction at 10 AM, this isn’t your ticket.
The offer is valid for visits between May 26 and July 29, 2026, and tickets are on sale now.
Our Take
We love this move from Disney. Summer in Orlando means scorching heat during the midday hours, and many experienced visitors already plan their days around afternoon and evening park time. This ticket acknowledges that reality and prices accordingly.
